This year Santa has three start locations to choose from. Each of these start locations are affiliated with a Los Angeles area and will follow a route in that area. Please only select one start location.
- Ho-ho-ho Hollywood: The Hollywood route will have a start location in Hollywood and will utilize the Red Line Metro. You must purchase your own all day Metro Pass and pay for all drinks and other items along the way. Santa will have special stops and drink specials, but this is a pay your own route. Santa will most likely end up at a location with a bunch of other Santas.
- Rein-dondo Sleigh Route: The sleigh route will begin in (and return to) the beach town of Redondo Beach. From here, only Santa knows where he will end up. But probably at a bar or location with a bunch of other Santas! Sleighs will stick around to return Santa to the start location at the end of the night.
- Arroyo Seco aka Gold Line Santa: The Arroyo Seco start location will be somewhere along the Gold Line and will explore the shinier side of the spectrum. This is a metro route so you must purchase your own all day Metro Pass and pay for all drinks and other items along the way. Santa will most likely find himself drinking with a bunch of other Santas along the way.
In general, Santa tries to make it easy for Santa to return to his start location, as well as suggesting parking along the way. It's a safe bet to park/be near/start anywhere along the Red or Gold Metro lines if you are on the Hollywood or Arroyo Seco Routes. Rein-dondo Santas may want to bring extra SPF and wear a bathing suit. Just sayin'.
As in past years, the route will not be shared prior to the event. Select your start location and buy a sleigh pass (if necessary) and the start location and details will be mailed to you 24 hours before the event (sometime Friday morning, Dec 16). If you are going to be "late" to the event or are unable to join us until later, Santa recommends you follow @lasanta on twitter to find out where he may be.
Cheap Santa suits can be found in the LA Toy District (3rd Street & San Pedro in Downtown LA).
