Earlier this year I got into White Tulips.
They have the most delicate scent. They pair beautifully with one of my favorite purple flowers - the Iris (although here they are paired with lavender Roses). As they bloom, they stretch their stems out in crazy ways and open wide their petals.
It's the stretching and opening that I love. As if they want to escape the vase. Delicate green stems, that mean death if bruised or bumped. I sit with them on my table as I write and never tire of watching them stretch their necks, opening their petals.
It's an inspiration to me. To stretch my neck and open my heart as widely as I can. Expansive. Expanding. Opening Bud.
This post is dedicated to my love of white tulips. May my life be full with your beauty, your delicate scent and may you continue to inspire me to stretch and open - expanding to fullness.
