Back on earth, I'm obsessed with the Los Angeles real estate market. I've been watching houses in the Hollywood Hills (dream location!) and there are "affordable" ones going for around 750! That's making me think it's more than just a pipe dream. Now, based on the houses in other parts of LA (that to me are still interesting) I could move in tomorrow.
And well, tomorrow I do close on my next property: a 5 acre ranch in the Mojave. Ok, so maybe ranch isn't the right descriptor, but it has a cabin in dire need of reworking (not unlike some of my personality quirks) and has a decent amount of land and it's a canvas for painting our dreams. Our? Yes, I've bought a place with my friend and longtime colleague. Some people might say I don't learn after the drama that was the end of the future. But the wheel spins around and you often get another chance to make a same situation different.
Only through living do we learn.
That's pretty sad that 750 is "affordable", but I guess it's all relative.

Yeah, I know. 750 - affordable. That's Hollywood for ya.

Wow. Congratulations Heather.
I wonder if there's wi-fi there.

Heather, I think prices will come down a little more this year, too!

SV Real Estate - I agree with you. And that's why I've started watching the scene now. :)
