Good Monday Morning Blog! Well, that was quite an awesome weekend. Roadtripping with friends and playing in my old hood - Oaktown Bootieville and Berzerkely. Lots of good conversations and connections with friends.
This morning however, I want to point you to an interview with Harrison Owen - the creator of Open Space Technology. I'm actually heading back to San Francisco on Wednesday to get official training in Open Space Technology Facilitation. I first heard about OST from Mary Hodder. I was telling her about my barcamp organization experiences and she told me to check out Open Space. When she first described it, I couldn't tell the difference between what I used for Barcamp and what she described as Open Space. It was only until I experienced it, could I see the sublime difference.
I first experienced OST at the Internet Identity Workshop earlier this year and I was blown away. It was at the same time more structured and more open than "barcamp". I'm not sure how to describe the difference, perhaps by the end of the week, I will.
Thank you for your video and for the comment on my blog (http://www.toolblog.de/?p=440#comments). BTW: Are you participating in WOSonOS (http://wosonos2008.org/)? I'm planning to come.
