Heading to SF today. Roadtrip with the zombie bananas. Trying to get excited about our reprise on Saturday. The team is almost entirely new and we've tweaked the performance, added some bits and used the extended version. To top that off, I got a new haircut that reminds me of a cross between Crissy Heins, Steve Perry and an Anime character. It's a combination of my past two major looks. I really look like a rocker and it amuses me to no end. (Back to not recognizing myself in the mirror.) Just in time for my rock star character. You see, this weekend I am living out my rock star tour dream. It goes like this. We're booked to perform in a club. We road trip to the city, stay in an uber-fancy hotel, last minute practice, do the gig, party at the club, after party until the sun comes up. Blearily head back to LA on Sunday. I am envisioning our hotel will be something out of Hunter S Thompson's mind.
On the other side of my dream landscape - I'm finally getting serious about buying desert land. I've got my eye on some ranches and acreages. I'm not ready to leave LA yet, but I definitely am ready to have an alternate to the city. Sometimes I'm so overwhelmed with people, noise, pollution and humanity.

look now im caught up, it caught up with me.
all caught up in you, nothin left to do, plastic soul blues.
play it again samantha, play my heart strings,
one more time, for new time sake,
plastic soul is all i wanna know.
Plastic soul everywhere i go,
plastic soul blues, caught up,
it caught up with me, all caught up in you.
nothing left to do, plastic soul blues.
I'll take two, one for here and one to go. i love you so samantha.
