How to get out of the midwest

1. Fall in Love
2. Have some money - you don't have to have a lot, but some (try not to be in credit card debt)
3. Pick a place
4. Pack all your belonging into your car
5. Drive there
6. Find a place to live (sublet - craigslist)
7. Find a job
8. Tada - Your life has changed

You don't necessarily have to do this in this particular order. The most important, critical thing, is that you take one audacious step towards your goal of leaving. The only thing holding you back is yourself. And that's the way it is in everything.

It's not going to be pretty at first, and you're going to have to work hard, and you'll probably make some mistakes, but if it's really what you want to do with your life - DO NOT PUT IT OFF. (Don't be rash though, either.)
