Today is the Internet Radio Day of Silence (PDF). Beloved Theory Radio is going silent today. But don't tune out. SomaFM suggests
All of us at SomaFM ask that you excuse the interruption of our normal broadcasts, and ask that you take action to help ensure this silence is not permanent. Please call your Congressional Representatives today. We make it easy, and it will only take a few minutes. If you've already called your representative, please call them again and ask them why they're not supporting independent internet radio.
Even if you don't regularly listen to Internet Radio, please call and support online broadcasting. For more info and to see a list of participating stations, go here.
I love that they all did this.
Everyone can safely ignore the danger as long as the streams are still playing, but when the music stops, people stop listening and start talking, and that's exactly what's required here: action.
Call your representative and ask them why they're not supporting internet radio! If you don't know how, follow the supplied link above. They make it very easy for you.
Every voice matters, and when we all speak up at once, they cannot ignore that.
