I work best when the world is spinning around me. When I am the calm in the storm. When I jet my hands out into the tornado only to snatch a bit of this or that. It's not multi-tasking, it's multi-whirl-winding. My x-husband used to tell me that sometimes, he just had to step back and get out of my way, lest get caught in the blaze. He also likened me to a bull plowing through the field with nothing but flowers in my wake. I think those are compliments.
Thursday my brother got married in Portland on the top of a mountain. It was also the day I had to get my biz partner a last minute document. There I was, editing away, taking screenshots, writing emails, between making sandwiches, stopping by the salon to drop off the bride, pick her up, burn cds, make ipod playlists, synch playlists, make more sandwiches, pick up flowers, send emails, take screenshots, make ipod playlists, take phone calls, get dressed, etc. Yes, it was like that. Tension was high. It was a wedding day. It was a deadline.
Everything happened as it was supposed to. Vows were made. It didn't rain. Pictures were taken. Emails were sent. Documents were faxed. Music was played. Two people got married.
