The room is a mess, but I've got a whole slew of fabulous costumes put together for burning man. You'll have to join me on the playa to see em in person.

I haven't been out to the playa since 1998, but if you don't already have them, the two best costume items in a rain/sand/rain+sandstorm are a package of dust masks and a pair of safety goggles. You can tough it to any event in any weather in those. Clothing from the neck down is optional, but you've gotta have those.
Also, no outfit on the Playa is complete without a sturdy, re-usable cup. You will get invited to plenty of decadent parties, but your host may not always (especially later in the week) have a drinking vessel for everyone.

Have fun in BRC.
