For much of my blogging time, I have blended personal and professional content on the same blog. For the past couple years, my main blog, heathervescent, has covered most of my Academic, Research and Professional ponderings, with sporadic Introspection posts. I miss being able to write about my introspections and how I parse the world. It's not appropriate to blend my professional and introspective perspectives anymore. So this blog has been born.
If you like the content I wrote under the Introspection category, you'll want to check in here from time to time.
The human experience includes touch, even for the ascetic. Monks perform private rituals on each other, Indian mystics invented Tantric patterns (I could go on a diatribe about how ironic that Hindu labels are coopted in LA), Native Americans might ask what the fuss is all about. It’s the hunger for another to supplant what you are that brings misery. Why is there such focus on needing to prove one’s worth by not ‘needing’ touch?
It’s a weird game, translating texts out of context.
Great news, there’s a place for inconsistent incomes in SB, some even with an amazing view.
Water and movement are the only antidepressants anyone might need, plus you are blessed with foresight, good taste, and the willingness to trust your mind.
That’s the only way we can really understand the past, and discover forgotten histories.
