This past week, I've been having people from the past show up in my dreams. It's given me to ponder - especially with the friend purging that's been going on. The who I am now is a projection of the person I was going to become. But the fixed memory of me in my "friends" mind, is different from who I have become. And of course you can throw in varied perceptions of who I currently am based on moral and other points of view.
Anyway, I'll be glad to close up loose ends up here in San Francisco, the most perfect city in the whole world, where all my dreams came true.
This weekend brings a trip to the hot springs up north. Wilbur Hot Springs. I love this place. No phones, TVs. You get to cook your own food. There is great hiking and of course the hot water. At night it's magical.

Hey, your writing really resonates with me-- George at Allaboutgeorge sent me a link to your blog.
I'm so enjoying your journal, mainly because I recently moved to Los Angeles from the Bay Area too. Everything you've written, I've also experienced. Well, except for the motorcyle parts. May I just affirm your impulses and do it. I don't regret leaving the Bay Area even though I don't have many friends here. LA is rich with possibility and different from the Bay Area but not unlivable or unlovable. That's a myth.
Also, check out this Scientific America article about suppressed thoughts (and people) appearing in dreams. http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?chanID=sa003&articleID=00031F64-BD8A-1060-BD8A83414B7F0000
When you get to LA, look me up! I've started a new blog called LA Brain Terrain (http://www.labrainterrain.blogspot.com) that may interest you. Best of luck
