Not much news these past few days. The weather here in the Bay has been gorgeous. Fabulous SoCal weather. I know it is here to tempt me south sooner. And it may well work. I've been working my SoCal contacts and sending out some resumes. It's much easier for me mentally now that I've decided to move south. I had all this apprehension with the jobs that were coming up for me in Sillicon Valley. I'd interview, they'd love me, and I'd be like, ah, I'm not so sure.... Now, I know it's because the jobs were in the wrong town.
Google tells me the original name of Los Angeles is "El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina de los Angeles del Rio de Porciuncula". I was pondering (as driving down 280 last week) why Los Angeles didn't have a San or Santa in the name. You've got San Diego, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Barbara, San Jose, San Francisco, etc. etc. I'm moving from a saint to a queen.
